Summary

This position works closely with the Accounting and Office Manager as well as the Chief Financial Officer. The incumbent's key function is responsible for day-to-day operations of cash management performing advanced professional accounting tasks at a College level within the Division of Financial Services.


Essential Functions

  • Monitor and Reconcile the College's online credit card account
  • Disburse checks to vendors and maintain check log

  • Assist with credit card training and management

  • Process 1099s and sales and use tax per IRS regulatory requirements

  • Help with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare semi-annual Sales and Use Tax Refund report

  • Maintain Unclaimed Property log with appropriate detail for submission to the State

Required Working Hours

Position: Campus Safety Officer (Non-Sworn)
Department: Campus Safety
Reports To: Director of Campus Safety

Summary

  • Ability to detect criminal activity and assist Police Officers with investigations.

  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and make logical decisions.

  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.

  • Knowledge of the Campus Student Conduct Policy and Procedures.

  • Ability to prepare cases and testify in court.

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

  • Basic knowledge of hazardous materials and Identification Plaques.

  • Ability to successfully complete First Aid, CPR, and Blood Borne Pathogen training.

  • Should be able to meet the requirements of the College's automobile insurance.

Campus Safety Officers must be capable of light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects, climbing, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, talking, and hearing.

Summary

Louisburg College is currently seeking a Director of Financial Aid. As the only two-year residential college in North Carolina, Louisburg College has been serving students for over 233 years.  Our campus, a short distance from Raleigh, North Carolina, is in historic Louisburg, North Carolina.  We invite qualified candidates to consider applying for this rewarding opportunity.

  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of software, and ability to learn new systems.

  • Time management, organizational skills, and a desire to interact with students are required.

  • Familiar with all Department of Education software initiatives including, but not limited to, EdConnect, Common Origination and Disbursement, Financial Aid Access to CPS Online, and National Student Loan Data System.

  • Familiar with CAMS and PowerFAIDS.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Position: Maintenance Tech I  |  Full-Time position
Department: Operations and Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION

Under the direction of the Director and Supervisor will routinely perform repairs, maintenance, and emergency duty of College facilities, equipment and grounds. Experience in electrical troubleshooting, repair & new installation. HVAC or Mechanical experience. Knowledge in the repair and maintenance of facilities, and equipment. Ability to lift and perform other essential physical functions of the job. Receives assignments orally or through written instructions. Positive attitude, organized, self-motivated, and a team player.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate the potential for new projects and report to Supervisor.

  • Responsible for alerting the Supervisor of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.

  • Participates in a rotating emergency “call” schedule.

  • Routine and emergency repairs to buildings and equipment.

  • Assists in implementing and maintaining the overall landscaping of the campus.

  • Participates in off-campus errands.

  • Participates in moving, installations, replacements and deliveries as directed.

  • Assists in set-ups and take-downs for special events.

  • Participates and may lead the team in emergency and severe weather circumstances.

  • Performs other duties as situation demands (or dictates) as assigned by the Director and Supervisor

  • Help implement training of Technicians

  • Will assist other Technicians in problem solving solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. The use of both hands, arms, legs, and must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.  Valid N.C. driver’s license.Pass a criminal background check.Looking for experience in electrical troubleshooting, repair & new installation. Position: Full-Time English Intructor

Department: Humanities

Reports To: Disivion Executive Director, Division of Humanities

 

Summary:

English faculty are primarily responsible for teaching English including composition and literature
courses which are housed in the Humanities Division. Faculty at Louisburg College are responsible

Position: Full-Time Instructor of Art  

Department: Academic Operations, Policies, and Supports

Reports To: Dean of Academic Operations, Policies, and Supports

The Art Instructor teaches undergraduate courses and is responsible for organizing and curating two on-campus art galleries.

REMUNERATION:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Art or an appropriate closely related field; Must have earned 18 graduate credits in Art.

  • Meet the SACSCOC criteria for teaching undergraduate courses.

  • Documented effective, relevant teaching is required and work experience in higher education is preferred.

  • Documented experience working successfully within a diverse student body.

  • Technology experience required. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

  • Passion for learning and for seeking creative ways to teach students how to learn.

  • Excellent and effective communication, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.

  • The performance of some aspects of the position may require a non-traditional work schedule to include some early morning or evening hours, and occasional weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and uphold the mission of Louisburg College.

  • Maintain the ability to teach undergraduate courses according to SACSCOC.

  • Teach at least 15 credits per semester, 30 credits per year.

    Advise students each academic year.

  • Organize, plan and curate the two on-campus art galleries.

    Provide active support for all planning, accreditation, and assessment tasks.

  • Support academic governance by serving on College committees and task forces.

  • 通过支持学术活动、体育活动、 convocations, faculty meetings, and the College’s chapel program.

  • Faculty may also be required to attend other academic events, at the request of the Vice President for Academic Life.

  • Maintain effective communication with the College via the Vice President of Academic Life.  During the academic year and summer, the official form of communication between the College and the faculty is via campus e-mail and it is important faculty check their campus email frequently.

  • 每周至少花30个小时在校园里提供有效的,相关的 instruction and performing other College responsibilities, while spending 10 hours each week on campus providing office hours to students.

  • Other duties, as assigned by the Vice President of Academic Life.
